The township with a contracted hauler handles municipal Waste and recycling pick-up in Forks Township. Billing is done through Forks Township based on the dollar amount of the contract.
The current rate for trash and recylcing is $264 per year. Bills are issued quarterly, and are combined with the quarterly sewer billing.
Recycling containers may be picked-up at the Forks Township Municipal Building between the hours of 7:30 - 4:00.
Each household is entitled to one (1) container.
Additional containers may be purchased for $11.00.
If a holiday falls before your scheduled pick-up day, your pick-up is the following day. If holiday falls after your pick-up day, there is no change.

Do not block the view or accessibility of your trash and recycling. Hauler will not take old trash cans unless there is a note attached to it. This includes old recycling containers.

All normal household trash may be placed at the curbside the night before scheduled pick-up. Please make sure all items are secured in cans or bags (not heavier than 35 lbs.) and are properly tied.
One can of Construction Material may be placed out per week not to exceed 40 lbs. This is limited to drywall, plaster, lath, roofing, shingles and lumber-cut down to maximum length of 3 feet.
No more then 4 x 4 feet in length and not more than 40 pounds in weight; a 12 x 12 room can be put out for one pickup.
Boxes must be flattened and tied in bundles of not more then 2 feet wide by 2 feet in length.
Currently all grass clippings, twigs etc. may be included with your trash however, there is a (5) bag limit each week per household. We ask that all sticks and twigs be bundled and easy to handle.
Please try to eliminate grass clippings by mulching your lawn as you mow.
Mulching blades and mowers are a great alternative to disposing clippings in a Landfill and the tiny pieces are actually good for your lawn.
